While money, passion and vision are leading requirements for successful entrepreneurism, people top the list.

“Anybody that can find enough money can get the building and product, but you can’t buy the people,” said Nadine Gramling, who bought and sold Southeastern Metals and then started another company, the Bryson’s On The Avenue upscale furniture and accessories consignment retailer.

The challenge for entrepreneurs “has always been, is and will be to find, recruit and get the right people on the bus,” said Brian Barquilla, founder and publisher of the magazine “Jacksonville Small Business Advantage: The Resource for Small Business.”

Gramling and Barquilla joined entrepreneurs Brock Fazzini, Dea Sims and Grace Huxtable-Mount Thursday for the Entrepreneurial Success Panel at the Beaver Street Enterprise Center. The panel was part of the center’s Entrepreneurial Fair and Success Forum.

About 40 people attended the forum and trade show at the center. The facility, near Downtown, offers space for startup and existing small businesses. It is run by the nonprofit Core City Business Incubators as an initiative of Fresh Ministries.

Fazzini, CEO of Fazzini’s Coffee & Tea, said it was critical to find the people who shared the vision of the company owner. “It has to be a fit,” he said.

Our facility includes an open sanctuary which can be arranged as needed, our social hall which can comfortably accommodate 250 for a sit down affair, a kitchen in which meat or dairy meals can be readily prepared in accordance with strictly Kosher guidelines, a book and music lending library, our classroom wing, and of course our office suites. The beautiful natural setting complements the simple, functional structure which serves as our home. Beth Shalom is conveniently located just east of State Road 13 in Mandarin at 4072 Sunbeam Road.

Our synagogue cooperates with other Jewish agencies and religious organizations locally in order to assist our growing vibrant, creative, Jewish community.

The members of Beth Shalom believe that a synagogue must create a sense of friendship and warmth among its members and the size of our membership is something that we nurture and care about because it means that relationships are personal rather than remote.

There are three species of coffee; Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica. Arabica trees do best at altitudes of 3,000 to 6,500 feet where the slower growing process concentrates their flavors. They have a much more refined flavor and contain about 1 percent caffeine by weight. Because of its delicate nature, an Arabica tree yields only 1 to 1.5 pounds of green coffee per year.
